Job Description

THE ROLE
The Operations Associate is a position for a self-starter who must be extremely thorough, who possess outstanding communication skills and demonstrates diligence and devotion throughout the
entire coordination process through task and project completion. It is imperative for this individual to have outstanding customer service skills and the ability to provide customers with quick
solutions and ensure requests are completed in a timely manner. This individual must be able to perform “hands on” tasks such as furniture assembly, moving boxes/large items and equipment
throughout the facility.

 

THE RESPONSIBILITIES
o Ensure an outstanding and fun experience in the workplace by assisting in continuous monitoring of ALL space throughout the facility.
o Perform WP Task Requests- Create a daily task list of requests to complete via 24/7 Facilities Ticketing System. (examples: Reactive tasks— broken desk, new pedestal, new chair, bookcase)
o Manage the WPSunnyvale email alias. This email should be the source for WP/Facility requests.
o Event Support- Work with Workplace Team to support set-up, staffing and clean-up of events.
o Furniture Assembly- Build and deploy office furniture such as desks, chairs, storage cabinets, bookcases, etc.
o Furniture Reset- Responsible for resetting all furniture within the common spaces of the facility. These spaces include conference rooms, cafe and open desks within the office space.

 

o Shipping & Receiving- Responsible managing the shipping and receiving of all mail & packages at the facility. This task requires computer skills and use of a fork-lift.
o Supply Resotcking: Responsible for restocking office supplies and communicating to the appropriate WP Contact to order when needed.
o Cable Management Maintenance- Perform various cable management tasks throughout the facility to ensure there aren’t any trip hazards and all desks display neat and clean cables.
o Moves- Assist and lead execution of department office moves throughout the facility and/or other Tesla facilities. These moves include office space (desk moves) and lab space (equipment moves).
o WP Representative @ Facility: Act as the main point of contact/representative for all facility occupants. This requires constant contact with main building leaders and ensuring their team’s are happy.
o Projects- Assist in coordination of projects to improve the facility.
o In conjunction with other WP representatives, assist with WP process creation, implementation and maintenance. Always consider CIP- continuous improvement process!

o Forklift Operation Experience
o Ability to see the big picture, yet still be detail oriented.
o Ability to have the project mindset—what will it take to oversee this through project close out.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite & competent computer skills
o Ability to work weekends/night as needed in order to meet the schedule demand.
o Creating an excellent workplace may require you to take on Workplace and Facility tasks that may be beyond your typical day to day responsibilities.
Hours/schedule: 7am-5pm, Monday-Friday
o Must be flexible as hours could adjust due to projects and may require weekend work from time to time.
Education Minimum:  High School Diploma or GED
